Course Description:    An interdisciplinary approach to understanding the idea and the reality of the extinction process.  Extinction as a challenge of the 21st century. Topics include extinctions of fossil hominins, cultures, religions and ethnic groups, language, and endangered species; and the possible extinction of our own species.
